This event was created to honor and remember Micah, who died on Easter Morning, 2022. Micah’s parents collaborated with the Haven Rose Foundation to create this fun egg-stravaganza. This is a unique, arcade like egg hunt! After kids search for their eggs they will turn them in for fun prizes at “Micah’s Egg Shoppe”, like at an arcade. The legendary Golden Eggs are to be turned in at “Micah’s Golden Eggs” station. This year they have moved locations to Wait Park in Canby, expanded activities with extended hours, and are planning for 3,000 attendees.
Activities for the day include: 3 egg hunts (reserve your time slot today!), a raffle and silent auction, food trucks, vendors, face painting, egg painting, and more! This is a free community event, and is based off of sponsorships and donations. This is also a fundraiser for the Haven Rose Foundation. They have set a $20,000 goal this year. Haven Rose Foundation provides support to bereaved families of child loss from conception through 17 years of age. Support includes funeral vouchers up to $500, care baskets, outreach events, support groups, and hope mentors. All funds raised will directly support families of child loss, just like Micah’s.
