Access the Library of Things
Canby Public Library is proud to provide access to a special collection: the Library of Things (LoT). These items include non-traditional equipment (such as outdoor gear, hobby and recreational hardware, and STEM educational products, among other things). This collection was funded by a grant from the Clackamas County Office of Sustainability and Solid Waste.
Unlike regular LINCC materials, LoT items cannot be transferred between libraries. This means that borrowers must pick the item(s) up at and return them to the owning library. Furthermore, each participating library has local policies regarding their collection.
To utilize Canby Public Library’s LoT collection, borrowers must:
- Be 18 years or older
- Have a regular LINCC library card in good standing (no eCards or Passport cards)
- Sign the borrower agreement each time they check out a LoT item
Please note:
- LoT checkouts are limited to two at a time
- Overdue fines are $5 per day
- LoT items check out for 14 days (except the rock polisher, which checks out for 28 days). Renewals are permitted if no one else is waiting for that item.

- Automotive diagnostic scanner
