Committee Information
The Transit Advisory Committee meets at least six times per year. Regular meetings are on the fourth Thursday in January, March, May, July, and September and on the third Thursday in November at 6:00 PM in the City Council Chambers. Meetings are open to the public. You may join in person or via Zoom.

- Type of Appointment: By City Council upon recommendation of the Committee Chairperson and Council Liaison.
- Number of Members: 7 members (Must reside within the City or Canby Urban Growth Boundary (UGB) or current employment or affiliation with a business or organization within the City or UGB. No more than two members may reside outside the UGB.
- Term Length: 3 years (term ends March 31)
Duties and powers:
- The committee shall be specifically responsible for, but not limited to the following:
- Developing and assessing, on a ongoing basis, the transportation needs of the citizens of Canby.
- Acting in an advisory capacity to the Transit Director in the coordination of transit services.
- Promoting and educating the public regarding acceptance and usage of the transit system.
- Promoting and educating the public regarding special problems associated with the use of the transit system by youth, elderly and disabled citizens.
