The Finance Department manages the City’s finances and maintains a high standard of accountability while providing quality customer service both to the public and within the organization. 

General operations include payroll, cash management, accounting for fixed assets, accounts payable and procurement, accounts receivable, improvement districts, grant tracking, debt management and ongoing financial analysis.

The Finance Department coordinates the annual budget process, prepares the annual Adopted Budget document and monitors budget compliance throughout the year. The City’s finances are audited each year and the Finance Department publishes a Annual Comprehensive Financial Report. 

Finance handles the Utility Billing collection and customer service function for sewer, street maintenance and park maintenance fees. 

Canby Area Transit Tax collection and Transient Room Tax collection are also under the Finance department’s umbrella.
