 ODOT 99E Project

Reconstructing the right-hand lanes is occurring in sections, one direction at a time. ODOT will finish each section by paving both lanes. Completed paving sections:

  • All lanes between Berg Parkway and Elm Street.
  • Southbound lanes between Pine Street and Ivy Street.

Sections being paved now:

  • Northbound between Pine Street to Ivy Street (scheduled for completion next week). Starting as soon as July 20, crews will pave the median. The left lanes will be closed in both directions.

Beginning as soon as July 29:

  • Paving the southbound lanes from Elm Street to Ivy Street. Traffic will be shifted over into the northbound lanes. Elm and Grant Streets will close.
  • Paving the southbound lanes through the Pine Street intersection. Traffic will be shifted over into the northbound lanes and Pine Street will close.

ODOT is scheduling work to minimize impacts during the Clackamas County Fair in August.

  • Around-the-clock lane closures continue:
    • Both directions between Pine Street and Berg Parkway. Watch for travel lanes to be shifted.
    • Left turn restrictions where lanes and the center median are closed.
  • Side street closure. No access to or from:
    • Ivy, Juniper and Knott Street (reopening the weekend of July 20).
    • Pine, Grant and Elm Streets (beginning as soon as July 29).
    • The dedicated right turn lane from Pine Street onto OR 99E north is closed. Right turns allowed from the open lane until Pine Street closes later this month.

The project is scheduled to be complete fall of 2024. For more information, visit: bit.ly/canbypaving.

Clackamas County's South Ivy Street Bike Lanes and Sidewalks Project

South Ivy Street connects downtown Canby to schools, parks, and surrounding residential neighborhoods. As an important connection, it is crucial that this road serve vehicles, bicyclists and pedestrians.  Construction starts in late May and continues through Dec. 2025. Plans include:

  • Widening Ivy Street to three lanes
  • Adding bicycle lanes and sidewalks between 1st Ave and Philander Lee Elementary School
  • Adding street lighting and installing a traffic signal at Township Road intersection
  • See the Preliminary Design Flyover Video

Expect flagging and lane closures for vehicles and bicycles daily.  Local access to driveways will be maintained and pedestrian access provided. See project map photo below for details.
